In Australia where I live, it's probably safe to go to the theatre with a general need for social distance - we've had just single digit cases for a few weeks now.

Yet, the cinemas aren't doing roaring trade, people are not flocking to fill the experience deficit after lockdown. Same story for theme parks, live music and theatre. I do believe that the national(indeed Global psyche) is not in the place for frivolous spending on entertainment - people are scared, they are cautious..

I also wonder if the right flavour of film is being made for right now.

Only time will tell.
